Geoffrey,
Just wanted to let you know how great the tune turned out.
It made an incredible difference. Faster and smoother acceleration,
better throttle response, smoother idle, no decel popping,
the bike runs like a champ. I think it's even running cooler.
I rode home in stop and go traffic. When I turned the bike
off the motor wasn't ticking like it usually does, has to
mean something good. Thank you for a great running bike.

Geoff,
Thanks for the great tune (or as you say, calibration)!!!
Night and day difference between your work and the other (shall
go unnamed) well known tuner. There’s no stumble off idle,
and a smooth roll-on with plenty of power. I checked inside
of my pipes when I got home – toasty brown, as they should
be. After I left the other guy, they were soot black.
Not only does a well-tuned bike just flat out run better,
but it adds to my riding confidence. BIG smile on my face,
Geoffrey. Thank you very much!

I made some modifications to my bike and it didn't run like
it should after. So I took it to a Harley dealer to have it
tuned and all they did was take my money because afterwards
it ran the same.
So talking to a fellow rider at work where he had mentioned
that he had went thru the same thing I did by taking his bike
to a dealer and no change. He mentioned he had taken his bike
to a shop in Costa Mesa and said the guy there was real good
working on bikes. He said when he got his bike back, it ran
like new.
So I decided to take my bike to the Cycledoctor which is the
name of the shop in Costa Mesa, and had Geoff tune my bike
and when I got it back, it ran 100% better. It ran like a
new bike.
And now, Geoff will be my bike mechanic until I no longer
have a bike anymore. He was understanding, kind, and explained
in detail what he had done to the bike. I appreciated his
kindness and honesty.

Hi Geoff,
I just wanted to thank you for
the improvements you made to our 2010 Ultra Limited. The bike
is running stronger and cooler than ever and it's really a
pleasure to ride. When I left your shop I got my first chance
to test the bike out -- with 70-some miles of stop-and-go
traffic on the 405. Even with a warm day the bike stayed cool.
The next day we rode up to Big Bear and the difference was
really clear -- more power, fewer downshifts and better throttle
response. This is the way the bike should have run from H-D.
Charlotte is especially happy with the cooler running engine.
Before the exhaust was roasting her right leg and you couldn't
put your hand anywhere near the exhaust. Now you can almost
put your hand on the heat shields,
I also wanted to let you know
how much I like the sound of the exhaust you recommended.
It's just what I was looking for -- a nice deep rumble but
not too loud. On the ride up to Big Bear I got lots of compliments
from the guys I ride with.
Thanks again for your help with
our bike. I will certainly be back when I need my next horsepower
fix.

Geoff and Team,
Thanks very much for the great job on the top end rebuild
and dyno you did on my bike. It all started with browsing
the web and finding the Johnson Engine Technology heads. Once
I settled on upgrading I was lucky to find you guys only a
few miles from where I live.
My bike never really ran right after I changed the exhaust/air
cleaner and had a Power Commander installed a few years back.
It had been put on a dyno 3 different times but still sputtered
and popped especially on decel. Now it runs like a clock with
power to spare. You guys really delivered!
Thanks,

Geoffrey,
I've been riding my 2008 Street Glide for 22,900 miles with
a Vance and Hines fuel pack. I didn't know how bad it was
running. You tuned my engine on your dyno and from the moment
I left your shop I felt an amazing improvement in performance!
No decel popping, it feels smoother, it responds better, it
sounds better and the bike has more power from idle on up!
Great work and you kept me informed all the way through!
Thanks,

Geoff,
I recently had my Sportster in your shop for tuning and I
have to say after having ridden it for a few weeks since the
tune it is probably the best money I have spent on the bike.
After changing the pipes and intake it was running very lean
even with the map provided by Power Commander. It would pop
like crazy on decel, run hot, and had a flat spot in the low
rpm's. After getting it tuned, it pulls hard and clean throughout
the entire rev range, runs cooler, and I haven't had a single
pop on decel. Thanks for doing such a great job.

Why didn't I do this sooner! Until my visit to the Cycledoctor,
I thought my bike ran pretty good. I had gotten used to the
decel popping and the little flat spot just above idle. I
had no idea that a trip to the Cycledoctor and some precision
dyno tuning could make all of those little annoying things
go away. In my mind, I thought dyno tuning was just something
racers did to squeeze out a little more horsepower. Man...
I was completely wrong.
Thanks to Geoff Gaites and the
boys at Cycledoctor, my bike runs awesome from idle to full
throttle. The exhaust note is so much cleaner and crisper.
That little flat spot just above idle is gone, which makes
the bike so much smoother and easier to ride in super low
speed situations. Bottom line, the bike is just way more fun
to ride now.
One more thing I need to mention.
I picked the bike up on Thursday and the following Monday
morning Geoff gave me a call just to see if I was happy with
the bike! The guy definitely goes the extra mile for his customers,
and who doesn't appreciate that?
Thanks so much to Geoff and
the boys at Cycledoctor.

Hi Guys,
Just got home and would have stayed out riding if we didn't
have a family Birthday tonight. Cannot believe the difference
in how the bike performs. Since I got the bike back from the
dealer the bike had been sluggish, mostly in the lower RPM's.
Can wait to take my wife
out for a ride this weekend. See you in a few months for my
next service.

Geoff, John, and Tom –
I just wanted to say thank you for the outstanding engine
work you guys did on my ‘06 Ultra. The performance is far
beyond the expectation I had when I first inquired about it.
I really appreciated the time and patience you took to work
with me on what I wanted out of this upgrade. 100+ on both
horse power and torque is something that all Harley riders
should experience but the way it comes on and builds through
the gears is truly smile-inducing.
After I took possession and got a chance to put about 1500
miles on it, I was even more impressed by the follow-up phone
call I got from Geoff asking how it was running and where
the miles per gallon was at. When I explained how excellent
it ran and how I was happy to get about 37 mpg from such a
serious upgrade, Geoff seemed concerned and asked if I could
drop it off for some fine tuning on the dyno. When I picked
it up today and rode it for a few miles, I couldn’t believe
it went from throw-you-back acceleration to almost neck-snapping
crispness. You guys know how to fine tune an already well-running
machine. Kudos! After I put some more miles on it, I will
update you on the mpg but for now… I’m outta here on a ride!
Thank you for all your hard work, your professional attitude
and the desire to maintain customer relations. It’s very much
appreciated.
Cheers!

Geoff,
Well so far it’s been a great improvement over the previous
tune from the dealer. I don’t hear any ping, seems to be smoother
throughout the rpm range and as what we talked about when
rpm gets to 3200, man it sure wakes up and pulls hard through
all gears! And it sounds even healthier. Makes it so fun to
ride…
I want to thank you and your staff there for being a great
company and personable, it really makes a difference when
one can talk and get expert advice and recommendations to
one's project, and not be made to feel like we don't know
what we’re talking about.
I look forward in doing more business with you and your company
in the future…
Once again, Thanks for doing such a great work.

Geoff,
I ride a 2001 Road King with the Magnetti Marelli fuel injection
system. Twenty four thousand miles ago I had a bunch of work
done on my motor by another shop and had no complaints. The
bike ran much stronger than before. However, I always felt
that tuning with a single sniffer (via a Power Commander)
didn't let the motor achieve its full potential. And, it had
serious backfire problems when decelerating in addition to
occasional pinging.
Surfing the web led to your shop, an appointment, the installation
of bungs in the exhaust, and a tune.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
It's not so much that horsepower and torque went from 108
and 108 respectively to 116 and 119, it's that the engine
is now calm. There's no backfire, no pinging, only instantaneous
throttle response without any surge. The power is linear.
It's as if I've converted to an electric motor.
I've only got one tank full to go by as of now, but even with
cruising home on the freeway in the fast lane at 80 plus to
just keep up with traffic, I got almost 6 mph better than
what I getting before the tune. I can't wait to see what mileage
it gets around town or when just cruising the back roads.
You and your staff were courteous, professional, and a pleasure
to do business with. Thanks for being in business.

Geoff,
I went for a 160 mile ride today around Lake Mead and made
a big loop
home. I am absolutely astounded at how well it runs and the
level of
your tune. No decel popping under any conditions and superb
throttle
response, it seems perfect. I got 44 mpg over the run which
is better
than with the 88" 70/80 setup. Unbelievable!

I have the 103" Stage II with 255 cams. I originally
had the factory download and then went for a PC V with Fuelmoto's
mapping. The bike ran fine except for some pinging. I took
it in [to Cycledoctor] for a dyno tune to get rid of the pinging
and what a surprise! It came out running like a different
bike. I could feel it in the first mile. Way more responsive
and even feels stronger. I'm convinced that a good tune can
make all the difference. BTW, the 103" with 255 cams
is a very noticeable improvement in power over the stock 96".
Well worthwhile.

Great Job On My Street Glide
Dyno:
After I picked my bike up this

regret is that I didn’t come into your shop sooner. Whatever
magic you worked on the dyno really paid off. The torque improvement

end response I was experiencing is gone, gone, gone!! I feel
like I’m riding a completely different motorcycle.

Geoff,
How to describe the ride home
- Brilliant! Tons of traffic but what a great ride. Big change
in the handling especially in the corners. Seams in the freeway
surface were handled much better. I was braced for the bumps
but they were much less. Hope to get time up in the mountains
on the open road over the holiday and really see what it can
do.
At a traffic light in major
traffic, two other bikes pulled up alongside me at the front
of the line: one was a Japanese cruiser, the other a sports
bike. I beat them both off the mark then slowed down and let
them go by; point made. :) Will let you know how it goes in
the mountains…
Took a 100+ mile ride through
the mountains Monday. Did not want to get off the bike. First
full tank got 38mpg. This includes a portion of the commute
home last Friday so it was very hot and lots of stop/go traffic.
The bike just runs great.
Thanks again to all,

Geoff,
The bike is all around more
responsive, not lugging out of the hole, as far as I can tell.
the ride back was on the freeway, but even there, it seemed
to pull harder through all the gears, didn't really push it
but it felt strong.

Geoff,
Here’s what I noticed once I was on the road to Laughlin:
The most obvious was the bark... when I hit the throttle it
wakes up everyone around me. Torque - the bike really has
no hesitation when i’m in first gear and then lean on the
throttle (as you know this was the original problem). I can
really feel the power in 2nd thru 4th gear. What I really
noticed was how smooth and consistent the power was throughout
all gears. To me it did not lack any performance...
Thanks again and I look forward to possibly making some future
enhancements.

Hi Geoff,
Thanks again for all your help and great job on my bike. It
has a full power band again with lots of pop on the top end.
I bought my first Harley from
a friend in April of '06, after a life time of owning rice
grinders. At the time I didn't really know or appreciate what
I really had gotten into. I just knew that the bike ran really
strong and I didn't lose many races with other V twins.
My bike already had the Stage II 95 ci. big bore, tuned with
the Race Tuner, 203 cams, Thunderheader and had all been done
at Cycledoctor. It ran strong and wasn't over built with a
high maintenance grenade motor. The friend I bought the bike
from always told me to bring it back to the Cycledoctor if
I wanted any other work done. I wish I had listened.
Ego got the best of me and I wanted more. I was having my
regular scheduled heavy maintenance, the things I couldn't
myself, done by a local performance shop that recommended
high volume heads, and bigger gear driven cams. It was a disaster
- the bike didn't run half as good as it had before unless
I was really on it. There was no torque in the lower RPM range,
and it was pinging at cruising speeds! I learned that the
mapping was off and there were few people in SoCal that could
get it right again.
I finally brought it back to Geoff for a new clutch and dyno
tuning. Using what he had to work with (my existing set up
on the bike) Geoff tuned it up to perfection. I once again
can enjoy plenty of pick up (torque) at around town speeds
and it pulls the front wheel off the ground when I nail it.
I spent thousands of dollars at a few of the other so called
V-twin performance shops. The work Geoff and his crew have
done on my bike speaks for itself. I am very grateful to Cycledoctor
for spending the time to write a custom map for my individual
situation.
Thanks for making me a proud Harley owner again.

Thanks to Geoff @ Cycledoctor for taking the time to work
with and tune my 131” EFI motor. I was having some detonation,
starting, and idle problems that were very frustrating. Geoff
took the time to listen to the problems that persisted after
a tune that was done previously somewhere else. He spent 5-6
tedious hours working to get the AFR spot-on and making the
correct timing adjustments based on fuel quality here in California.
I recommend Geoff to everyone
I know who is looking to have a tune or work done on their

Hi Geoff,
Just wanted to stay in touch
and let you know that I'm approaching 10,000 miles on the
95 inch build you did for me. The engine runs exactly the
same way today as it did when I left your shop after the post-build
dyno tuning. It pulls hard EVERYWHERE, never runs hot, starts
readily cold or warm, and idles correctly regardless of how
aggressively I ride it. All of this is just as you said it
would be -- a great breathing, high performing engine that
is completely reliable. After riding the bike for nearly 10K
miles, I've come to the conclusion that this is a perfect
street engine, because of the combination of performance and
reliability. The real kick for me is how much fun I have on
the bike because I love snapping the throttle and feeling
the same response every time from this rock solid engine.
Thanks again for your great
work, and the integrity and customer focus you bring to the
Southern California motorcycle community.

Geoff:
I just want to thank you for
all the great work you did on my Road King Classic. You delivered
everything you promised. As you remember I wanted increased
horsepower and torque. I did not want a radical hot rod but
I wanted high performance. I wanted a bike that would work
well around town and on long trips. I wanted power when I
needed it and that is what I have.
My brother had his Road King
Classic upgraded from 88 to 95 by a Harley dealer. They did
a screaming eagle upgrade. They put a bigger cam in than you
did for me and installed Thunder Headers with Harley's download
for the fuel injection. It took "5 WEEKS". You coordinated
things with me and your great staff and pre-ordered my parts.
I dropped my bike off on a Tuesday and picked it up on Thursday.
"3 Days" what a difference. I had other items handled
at other times at your place, such as adding after market
parts and I received same day turnaround. As far as performance,
my bike has Vance & Hines Pipes versus my brother's Thunder
Headers which are higher performance. He has a significantly
upgraded cam versus what you gave me.
With all these advantages my
brother's Harley dealer's upgrade had, my bike out performs
his. The torque I have is greater and the horsepower is equal.
My air fuel ratio print out on the dyno is almost a straight
line. His has significant dips in it. If I put his pipes (Thunder
Headers) on my bike, my horsepower would be even greater.
He cannot pull away from me. When he gets on his bike, it
takes little effort with my bike to stay with him or pass
him.
As far as gas mileage, right
after the rebuild the mileage wasn't that great, but after
the break in period and your dyno tuning my mileage is even
better than "stock". My bike is performing so well,
my brother is going to bring his Road King in to have you
put in a Power Commander III and dyno tune his bike.
It is obvious that your solution
using the Johnson heads is far superior to Harley's Screaming
Eagle solution. You truly are The Doctor in fact you are more
than that you are a master surgeon. Taking an inefficient
bike and converting it into a well breathing performance machine.
Again - thank you and
your great staff,
Geoff Ewertz

My 2008 Road king Classic is three months old. I had 1.50"
Flyin' Ape Hangers installed by the Cycledoctor this week

the work. I know this was uncharted waters for an 08 with

Geoff thought these might be the first Carlini Bars installed

Geoff and his staff did a great job and most importantly the
customer is happy.
Thanks for the great bars Carlini and thanks Geoff and your

Geoff has been servicing my 1997 Electra Glide Standard since
I bought it. When I first bought it I was happy to have been
referred to Geoff from some reliable sources. They proved
to be right-on in their assessment of Geoff’s skills in the
shop and great customer service.
Though I was quite the rookie,
lacked the simplest of mechanical skills and likely asked
crazy and ill informed questions he helped me and treated
me with great respect. Several years after I met Geoff he
rebuilt my engine and added design features as I wanted a
little more punch and a different look to my bike.
Again, a great job and to this
day my bike runs like a top. I have never had any problems
and though I don’t ride as much as I use to I am reminded
every time I get on it how fortunate I am to have a top notch
mechanic! Geoff is a knowledgeable technician and a great
guy! Trust the servicing on your bike to no other!

Geoff and the Crew of Cycle Doctor-
It has been my dream since I
realized that motorcycles were cool (about 3 yrs old), to
ride with my dad and little brother. This past week, the two
of them made the trip from southern Indiana through a blizzard
in AZ and NM out here to So Cal. My father has a 09 Ultra
Classic, my brother an 84 FXRP that has seen a lot of road
as he is the 3rd or 4th owner and I have an 05 FXSTI. A few
days ago (as we were on the 79 heading south) my brother's
bike started running a bit rough (to say the least). Thinking
it was the carburetor, we pull over on the 79 and began to
look at our options. Doing the best we could, in the middle
of nowhere, and after a prayer to Our Heavenly Father, we
headed back to San Clemente to see if we could do a little
bit more damage. Knowing enough to be dangerous, but not being
the gear heads that we should be, we contacted a well known
Harley Dealership in Orange County (I have omitted the name
for protection). With that said when asked if they could help,
the shop there informed my brother in so many words that they
do not service bikes with carburetors, but he could bring
it in and they could listen to it. They did however get us
in contact with the fine crew at Cycledoctor.
Not being here for long and in a bit of a tight jam, my dad
and brother brought the bike in the following morning and
immediately were greeted by a sign in the front office which
read: "God owns this establishment, we just run it for
Him." or something to that effect. This being a welcome
sign as we are all born-again Christians and could think of
no better place to take the bike in its current condition.
Twenty-four hours later, the three of us went to get my brother's
84 FXRP and had the extreme pleasure of meeting more of the
crew there at Cycle Doctor. Not only did you guys there fix
his bike, but also offered him sound mechanical advice. My
brother and father left Southern California to head back to
Indiana, via the Grand Canyon after picking up the bike.
I write this for several reasons: 1. Thank you for allowing
me and my family the blessing of riding together if you had
not been so quick to take the job, the bike most certainly
would have not been fixed in time. 2. It is a testament to
the Geoff and crew of Cycle Doctor to take the case that “The
other Harley Davidson guys" wouldn't take and in 24 hours
get it back to my brother so he and my dad could continue
home. 3. It is blessing to know that there are some "stand
up" guys who will deal fairly in an unfair world.
On a side note: I plan on passing the good word about you
guys and will be bringing my 05 Softail there instead of the
"other Harley Shop" when I get back from deployment!
Thanks again and God Bless you and yours.
Regards,

As a proud owner of a 2002 Indian Spirit I can't relay the
dismay I felt when I began to experience mechanical problems
both great and small with new bike. Soon I became a frequent
visitor back to the dealership where I purchased my bike.
Being aware of the condition of my bike I was always greatly
concerned of break downs when I was out on the road.
When Indian MC announced their quitting that's when the panic
set in. With dealerships closing and more mechanics reluctant
to work on Indians I was ready to throw in the towel.
A buddy of mine told me about the Cycledoctor. When I took
my bike there not only did I find a guy more willing to help
me, but here's a guy who's very knowledgeable. I could fill
pages with the good experience I have had doing business with
the Cycledoctor. I must note on more of a personal level.
I can't tell you how much Geoffrey and his crew has helped
me during times when my bike needed repair and my cash flow
wasn't flowing too good.
To sum it up, my bike runs better than new and stops on a
dime. The American Motorcycle Community needs more of the
type of business the Cycledoctor is and more of the type of
people that run it. Amen.
Sincerely,
